About WaterTechReview
Independent hydrogen water product reviews. Lab-tested. No sponsored rankings.
WaterTechReview is an independent product review site focused on hydrogen water and water technology products. We test every product we review with professional-grade dissolved hydrogen meters, standardized protocols, and weeks of real-world use. No brand has ever paid for a review, influenced a score, or bought a higher ranking on this site.
Who's Behind This
I'm Alex Torres, a former materials science researcher who got fed up with the state of product reviews in the hydrogen water space. Too many sites rank products based on affiliate payouts, not performance data. Too many "reviews" are just rewritten press releases with a buy button at the bottom. I started WaterTechReview because I wanted a resource that I would actually trust when spending my own money.
My background is in materials testing and characterization. I spent years evaluating product claims against lab data in other industries. Turns out the same skeptical, data-first approach works just as well for hydrogen water. Go figure.
How We Stay Independent
We buy every product we review. Not sent by manufacturers. Not loaned. Purchased at full retail price with our own funds. When a company offers to send a free unit for review, we decline. This costs us money, but it means our testing starts from the same place as your experience: opening a box you paid for.
No brand can pay for placement or influence our scores. Our editorial team and testing protocols are completely separate from our business operations.
How We Make Money
We earn money through affiliate links. When you buy a product through our links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This funds our lab equipment, testing hours, and the site itself. Our affiliate relationships never affect our scores or recommendations. We've given low scores to products with generous affiliate programs and top scores to products with minimal commissions. The data decides, not the payout.
Our Testing Philosophy
We believe product reviews should be built on measurable data, not subjective impressions. That's why we publish our testing methodology, share specific PPB readings, and explain our scoring weights. If you disagree with a score, you can see exactly how we arrived at it and why. Our full testing process is documented at /methodology/.
What's Next
We're expanding beyond hydrogen water bottles and pitchers. Water filtration systems, ionizers, and other water technology products are on the roadmap. If you have a product you'd like us to test, or if you've found a claim that doesn't hold up, get in touch. The more transparency in this space, the better for everyone.
